A 'Hall of Fame' of Gaeilgeórí, these people are not necessarily just famous scholars and people of influential position. With its unique history, this publication aims to pay homage to the men and women who helped further the Irish language in some way, keep it alive, teach it, or make some other contribution which is remarkable.

This is not an exhaustive list, and we will continually add more entries. Feel free to write to us with a 'local legend' that you would like to bring to our attention, whether this person may get a street named after them or not.
